One of our most enduring product lines, the Tilling range of Western Red Cedar Rustic products are perfect for Hamptons, California Bungalow or alternative looks. Sourced from PEFC Certified timber the Western Red Cedar Rustic range of products is ideal for those projects that are unique.

Shingles

For roofing application choose Blue Label premium clear grade, fully quarter sawn (2.3m² cover per bundle).

For general purposes applications choose Red Label general purpose grade with limited sap wood containing both quarter and back sawn (3.72m² coverage per bundle).

Shakes

Hand split and re-sawn. Suitable for roofing applications with minimum roof pitch of 20° (1.33m² coverage per bundle).

Shingle Ridging

400mm (nominal) length, 80mm ridge depth (5080mm run of ridging per bundle)

Weatherboard

Kiln Dried Weatherboard. Tight Knot grade, with dressed finish on back and sides, sawn finish on face. Random length specification only. Please see attachments for information flyer.

Tasmanian Oak Lining

Our Tasmanian Oak interior range of linings are manufactured from PEFC Certified timber. Tilling Tasmanian Oak linings have an unsurpassed reputation for quality, using only ‘Select’ grade raw material, the highest grade available.

Because Tilling uses mostly Eucalyptus obliqua in our material mix, our Tasmanian Oak lining boards tend towards the lighter end of the species colour spectrum. Natural colour tones range from pale straw to light brown with intermediate shades of cream and pink. This species is recognised for its excellent staining qualities, which allow ready matching with other timbers, finishes or furnishings.

V-Joint profiles are available either uncoated or pre-finished with three coats of UV cured semi gloss polyurethane. SlimLine and ShipLap profiles are available uncoated, ready to accept your choice of stain or finish. All lining products can be installed horizontally or vertically depending on the style you wish to achieve. See our detailed installation instructions for further details.

V-Joint

Provides a subtle shadow between boards. Boards have a dressed face and are available either uncoated or pre-finished (PF) with three coats of UV cured semi gloss polyurethane.

SlimLine

Sleek and minimalist, this refined lining has a slim 5mm shadow line between boards, compatible with expressed join detailing within the home. Boards have a dressed face and are available uncoated, ready to stain.

ShipLap

This bold lining profile features broad shadow lines between boards, and is another great traditional profile. Boards have a dressed face and are available uncoated, ready to stain.

We remove all defects from our Western Red Cedar linings to provide the highest grade finished product, leaving only premium boards to minimize wastage. Our Western Red Cedar interior range of linings are manufactured from PEFC Certified timber.

Natural colour tones range from light straw through buff and warm red to the occasional deep brown. V-Joint, SlimLine, and ShipLap profiles are available uncoated, ready to accept your choice of stain or finish. Western Red HORIZON Stepped Profile

Our range of HORIZON profiles is manufactured exclusively from PEFC Certified Western Red Cedar (Thujia plicata). Western Red Cedar is rated as Class 2 under the Australian durability ratings, with a probable life expectancy of 15 – 40 years in above ground applications. The timber has a high natural resistance to decay and termite attack, and is suitable for use in exposed, aggressive environments.

Tilling produces the HORIZON range to a Run of Mill grade, ensuring the longest lengths possible for your feature wall. Light weight, easy to work with and easy to stain, Western Red Cedar is a preferred wood for nearly all cladding applications where attractive appearance and resistance to weather are important.

Natural colour tones range from light straw through buff and warm red to the occasional deep brown. If left unfinished, all Western Red Cedar claddings will age gracefully to a silver finish without losing their weather resistant attributes.

The castellations on Horizon’s surface create the effect of dressed battens, with the convenience of secret nail tongue and groove profiling. Profiles available include Double Step which provides the look of a 29mm batten, or Triple Step for a 15mm batten effect. HORIZON Double Step profile provides the look of a 29mm batten, with the convenience of a secret nail tongue and groove board. Boards have a dressed face and are available in 26mm or 18mm thickness – uncoated, ready to paint or stain.

HORIZON Triple Step profile provides the look of a 15mm batten, with the convenience of a secret nail tongue and groove board. Boards have a dressed face and are available in 26mm or 18mm thickness – uncoated, ready to paint or stain.
